Meet The Team

Vivian is the co-captain of Kalipso Robotics and is a freshman at Palo Alto High School. Outside of robotics, she does competitive waterpolo and enjoys drawing and listening to music. 

Kaitlyn is the co-captain and a sophomore at Henry M. Gunn High School. She likes to design graphics and play badminton.

Ethan is a sophomore at Henry M. Gunn High School who is passionate about robotics. He enjoys swimming, tennis, woodworking, and programming.

​

Darren is a sophomore at Palo Alto High School. In his free time he enjoys playing badminton, baseball and programming.

Chloe is a freshman at Palo Alto High School. Outside of robotics, she enjoys playing sports, playing piano and reading.

Sophia is a Junior at Henry M. Gunn High school. Outside of robotics, she like to do art, play tennis, ice skating and traveling

​

Alan is a 8th grader at Ellen Fletcher Middle school.  Out side of robotics his hobbies include reading, and playing video games.

Richard is a sophomore at Carlmont High School. Outside of robotics, he does competitive basketball and enjoys swimming, chess, and math.

Albert is a sophomore at Henry M. Gunn High School. Outside of robotics, he enjoys playing basketball and eating food.

Junliang is a 7th grader at Redwood Middle School and enjoys hardware and CADing. Outside of robotics, he enjoys making fun projects and modding 3d printers.

Hung has been working in the software industry for about 15 years. He is passionate about building things including hardware, robots, wood work, etc. He has been coaching and mentoring robotics teams in the last 7 years. Outside of work, he enjoys playing tennis and water sports.

Tao is a technologist and entrepreneur who has worked in the high-tech industry for 25 years. He has started many companies and has been instrumental in many successful products. He enjoys mentoring and volunteering for FIRST and enjoys gardening, coffee, and playing the board game go.

Jackie is a Certified Financial Planner, helping people plan for their financial future. She has been mentoring robotics teams for over 7 years and enjoys working with young, motivated individuals. She loves dancing, traveling and savoring teas or wines with friends.

Albert is passionate about building things and learning. He was the build lead at Kuriosity Robotics for 5 years and now is mentoring Kalipso Robotics. He is a sophomore at Stanford University.

Sam is a senior at Brown University studying computer engineering. He founded Kuriosity Robotics and captained the team for 5 years. In his free time he loves to play the guitar, watch football and basketball, and ball with his friends. 

Ethan is a CS undergrad at Georgia Tech. He loves programming things and playing the piano. He previously led software on Kuriosity Robotics and the Gunn Robotics Team.

Ethan Kou is an EECS undergrad at UC Berkeley. He enjoys robot software. Some of his hobbies are piano, video games and hiking. He also likes to go to the beach.​
